A report by Salary.com says moms would be earning a pretty good income if they were getting paid for their work. The time moms spend on 10 "mom job functions": housekeeper, day care center teacher, cook, laundry machine operator, computer operator, psychologist, facilities manager, van driver, chief executive officer and janitor would bring $116,805 in the work world. (This doesn't even mention all the other jobs that Nancy does) Moms work an incredible amount of overtime at their jobs -- 54.4 hours a week above and beyond the normal 40.
Did I mention that Nancy does all of this, plus she works a full-time job as well! I think the song about the woman that can bring home the bacon & fry it up in the pan was written because of Nancy. I just need to publicly say how much I love my wife, and that I truly feel that she is a Superstar.
Nancy is very unselfish with her time. It's very hard to get her to spend very much money on herself, or take time for things that she wants to do. She is always thinking about those around her. If you check her blog, http://mackaydisplay.blogspot.com/, you will see that I do have to share my wife's affection with Harrison Ford & Harry Connick Jr, but I'm good with that. So, we have our movie tickets in hand and we will continue the Indiana Jones saga on Thursday.
